2 workers seriously injured in construction accident in Kentucky home

SHARPSBURG, KY – Officials in Bath County said two workers were injured in an accident on the job at an area home on Tuesday morning, reports WKYT.

The incident took place at a home on Veterans Memorial Highway near Sharpsburg.  According to investigators, three workers were renovating a basement.  As they poured concrete, some type of  structural failure occurred and part of a wall fell onto them.

Two of the workers were seriously injured and were flown to an area hospital, where they were expected to survive.
