3 injured following 3-vehicle crash on Gene Snyder Freeway

LOUISVILLE, KY – Three people were taken to the hospital following a collision involving several vehicles in east Louisville on Tuesday evening.

According to a report by WAVE, the accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. along the Gene Snyder Freeway, just north of Shelbyville Road.

Responding officers believe one vehicle made an unsafe lane change and collided with another. The second vehicle was then pushed into a third, causing it to roll over.

Of the three people transported to the hospital, none of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The northbound side of the freeway was shut down for some time afterward. All lanes have since been reopened.
