65-year-old man killed in crash on I-71 at I-264

LOUISVILLE, KY – A man was killed as the result of a single-vehicle crash along I-71 in Louisville early Monday morning.

According to a report by WDRB, 65-year-old Kevin Cunningham lost control of his vehicle at about 7 a.m. near the I-264 interchange.

Louisville police say Cunningham was northbound at a high rate of speed when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a wall. The vehicle spun around several times, ejecting him in the process.

Cunningham was rushed to University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 9:45 a.m.
