LOUISVILLE, KY – Louisville Metro police said a collision in Jefferson County Monday night left a driver critically injured.
According to WHAS, two vehicles were involved in the crash on Interstate 265 at mile marker 20. Investigators said a woman was driving on I-265 westbound when she drove off the roadway, overcorrected and hit another vehicle.
The woman then drove off the roadway again and crashed into a tree. She was taken to University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. A man in the second car sustained minor injuries and drove himself to the hospital.
I-265 west was shut down near Billtown Road while the scene was being investigated and cleared.
