Dump truck driver dies in rollover accident on Highway 70 in Caldwell County
CALDWELL COUNTY, KY – A man died after the dump truck he was driving was involved in an accident in Caldwell County Wednesday afternoon, WPSD reports.
The victim was identified as 51-year-old Timothy D. Crider of Marion, Kentucky. Kentucky State Police said Crider was driving a 2012 International dump truck west on Highway 70 shortly before 1 p.m. when the passenger’s side of the truck left the right side of the roadway. The truck drove back onto the highway, then went off the opposite shoulder, and overturned. Crider was thrown from the truck and was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
