JCPS bus involved in Preston Highway crash

LOUISVILLE, KY – A Jefferson County school bus was involved in a rear-end collision on the Preston Highway early this morning.

According to WDRB, the crash was first reported at about 8:35 a.m. near the intersection with Bennett Lane, not far from Fern Valley Road.

A spokesperson for Jefferson County Public Schools says a school bus was heading to Slaughter Elementary School when it was rear-ended by a passenger vehicle.

19 students were on board the bus when the crash occurred. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash.

This is the second collision involving a JCPS school bus that occurred in the last week alone.
