LYON COUNTY, KY – Authorities said they have made an arrest in relation to a fatal wrong-way accident in 2020 in Lyon County, Kentucky.
According to KFVS, the suspect is 31-year-old Jose Antonio of Portland, Tennessee. He was taken into custody and charged with reckless homicide for the crash that took place on June 22, 2020 on Interstate 24.
Kentucky State Police said Antonio was driving east in the westbound lanes of the interstate when his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle, killing a passenger in the other vehicle.
Antonio was indicted on multiple charges after the incident and a warrant for his arrest was issued in November 2021. He was taken to the Sumner County Jail following his arrest and was reported to be awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
