ELIZABETHTOWN, KY – One person was killed and four others injured in a collision on Ring Road in Elizabethtown on Thursday morning, police said.
According to WLKY, the accident occurred in the vicinity of a convenience store near Shepherdsville Road shortly after 7 a.m.
Police said 29-year-old Devyn Vittitow was driving a Toyota car when he attempted to turn left out of the parking lot of the store. His car entered the path of a Chevrolet SUV that was heading west on Ring Road, and the vehicles collided.
Vittitow, an Elizabethtown resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three adults who were his passengers were injured and transported to an area hospital, though no details were released on their conditions. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries in the wreck. No one else was in the vehicle.
