Pedestrian killed in rush-hour crash on I-264

LOUISVILLE, KY – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking on a busy Louisville interstate on Wednesday evening.

According to a report by WAVE, 50-year-old James D. Miracle was hit while walking on I-264 near Cane Run Road at about 4:45 p.m.

Miracle was picking an object up in the roadway when he was hit by a sedan. He was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Two occupants in the sedan were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
