Recovery crews search for missing diver after incident at LG&E plant

LOUISVILLE, KY – A diver was reportedly sucked into a pump at an LG&E power plant while conducting inspections on Thursday afternoon.

According to a report by WAVE, the diver was part of a two-person team conducting routine inspections around 1 p.m. at the plant located on Dixie Highway.

A spokeswoman with LG&E said the second diver, who was working as a monitor, lost contact with the other diver shortly after they went under.
