LOUISVILLE, KY – Metro police are searching for the suspect responsible for a deadly hit-and-run crash in west Louisville Tuesday night.
According to WAVE, the crash occurred at about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of West Broadway and Dr. W. J. Hodge Street.
Police attempted to stop the suspect prior to the crash but they sped away, causing officers to back off. Moments later the suspect vehicle was involved in a major crash.
One person in the second vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the wreck. Four other people sustained unknown injuries.
The suspect responsible for the crash immediately fled on foot. It is unclear if any arrests have been made at this time.
