LOUISVILLE, KY –  Several lanes were shut down following two separate collisions along I-71 early Friday morning.

According to WDRB, the first accident, involving an SUV and a pickup truck, occurred at about 7:30 a.m. near the I-264 interchange.

Moments later, a tanker truck overturned in an attempt to avoid the first crash.

Four occupants in the SUV, along with the tanker truck driver, were all taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

All southbound lanes were shut down for several hours after the crash. Drivers have been advised to proceed with caution in the area as delays are likely going into Friday afternoon.
