Update: 40-year-old man identified in fatal motorcycle crash on Portland Ave.

LOUISVILLE, KY – The victim of a previously reported motorcycle accident in the Portland neighborhood last Wednesday has been identified by police.

According to WDRB, 40-year-old Carl Rudolph was traveling at a high rate of speed along Portland Avenue near Northwestern Parkway when he lost control of his motorcycle.

Rudolph collided with a utility pole at a high rate of speed. He was rushed to University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

No other vehicles were involved in the fatal crash.
