LOUISVILLE, KY – A woman was rushed to the hospital following a fiery crash in south Louisville early Saturday morning.
According to WLKY, the crash occurred at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Winkler Avenue and Algonquin Parkway.
Police say the unidentified female driver was speeding when she lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a utility pole.
The vehicle caught fire with the woman trapped inside. Police officers were able to pull the woman to safety. She was transported to a nearby hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
One of the officers was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
