Woman killed, 3 others injured in Scott Co. crash

SCOTT CO., KY – A woman was killed and three others, including two children, were injured after a crash in Scott County last Friday morning.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, two vehicles collided head-on along Long Lick Road, near Glass Pike at about 8 a.m.

Police say the driver of a pickup truck looked away from the road for a moment and drifted into the oncoming lanes where he collided with the second vehicle.

28-year-old Kristen Charron, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Two children were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A third person was also reported injured in the crash. The extent of their injuries remains unclear at this time.
